Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly extends a simple yet powerful invitation to His people: to return. The Hebrew word shuv carries the meaning of turning back, restoring what has been lost, and coming home to the God who faithfully calls His people to Himself. In Malachi 3:7, the Lord declares, “Return to me, and I will return to you.” This invitation forms the foundation of the 2026 Men's Retreat.
RETURN is more than a theme—it is a challenge for men to step away from the distractions, demands, and routines of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most. Over the course of the weekend, men will be invited into a journey of spiritual renewal, meaningful fellowship, and personal reflection centered on God's call to return.
The retreat begins Friday evening with Return to the Lord, drawing from Hosea 14:1–5. Through worship, prayer, and biblical teaching, men will be reminded that no failure, distance, or brokenness places them beyond God's grace. The evening will encourage honest reflection and renewed dependence upon the Lord.
Saturday focuses on Return Home, inspired by Luke 15 and the story of the prodigal son. As participants reflect on the Father's heart and His desire to welcome His children home, they will also enjoy a day filled with fellowship, outdoor activities, friendly competition, and shared experiences that strengthen relationships and build community.
Saturday evening turns to Return to Your Calling through the account of John 21. Peter's restoration reminds us that our mistakes do not define us and that Christ continues to call, restore, and commission His followers for His purpose. Men will be challenged to embrace their God-given calling with renewed confidence and commitment.
The retreat concludes Sunday with a final invitation: Return to Your First Love, based on Revelation 2:1–7. Through worship and reflection, participants will be encouraged to rekindle their passion for Christ and recommit themselves to a life marked by devotion, obedience, and faithful discipleship.
Throughout the weekend, men will experience opportunities for worship, prayer, spiritual growth, fellowship, recreation, and rest. Special guest speaker Dr. Matt Friedeman will bring biblical insight, pastoral wisdom, and a passion for discipleship that will encourage men to pursue a deeper walk with Christ and live out their faith with purpose.
RETURN is not simply an event to attend. It is an invitation to encounter God afresh. It is a call to return—to the Lord, to home, to your calling, and ultimately, to your first love.
